The Chin Woo New Zealand Kung Fu Journey is scheduled to take place in Hong Kong and China during December this year.

For those who have registered their interest, this is a reminder that the first non refundable deposit of $300 should be paid by 28th February.

Please make payment to Mr Peter Yu, Chairman of Chin Woo New Zealand or if this is not possible please contact me to make alternative arrangements.

World Chin Woo Centenary - UPDATE

To all intended participants of the Centenary Chin Woo Celebration in Shanghai this year, we have just received confirmation from the organizer – Shanghai Chin Woo Athletic Federation, that this celebration and wushu competition has been postponed owing to clashes with many other world events to be held there around the same time, according to the Chinese government. Hence this celebration & competition will be held at the new schedule between November 2nd and November 8th, 2010.

As we understand this new time period may not be suitable to all, therefore will need everyone and anyone who are interested and able to attend to re-register their interest by March 31st, 2010. Anyone who have lodged their $50 deposit for this event late last year but can not participate at this new time schedule will be refunded in full on request.

Chin Woo New Zealand Auctions

Chin Woo New Zealand is finally putting up for auction some of it’s very rare and interesting collectible items accumulated over the years.

From kung fu weapons to ornaments to limited edition clothes, they will all be sold under the hammer (via Trade Me) over the coming months.

All proceeds from the auctions will go to funding Chin Woo activities in Auckland and Wellington.

10AC T Shirts for Sale

While the 10th Anniversary of Chin Woo New Zealand may have come and gone, there is still a chance to own one of the limited edition “10AC” Commemorative t-shirts.

Designed locally here in Wellington by ‘Keane Design’, they are made of thick (warm) material and sport the stylish 10AC Logo and Chin Woo name in Chinese Characters.

Cost is just $25 per t shirt.

Only the last few stocks of these limited edition t-shirts are available and there will be no more re-issues.

Chin Woo Kung Fu Workshops 2010

The 2010 Chin Woo NZ Calendar has been drafted and will include not less than three kung fu workshops to be held in Wellington.

Each workshop will feature four local guest instructors all under the one roof sharing their ideas and passion for Chinese martial arts.

Dates are tentative at this stage however expect their to be a workshop in March, June and September.

Venue will be Victoria University Recreation Centre.
